  1. Choose one of the 4 maps (Broadway, Detroit, Toronto, or Tokyo).
  2. Click on  "Play Pac-Mondrian in a new window"
  3. After the game and music are done loading, press the number 1 key on your keyboard to begin.
  4. Use the arrow keys of your keyboard to move Pac-Mondrian. You can eat any of the little squares. There are some big squares that you can eat too. Those will make the bad guys turn blue (the music will also change) and then you can eat the bad guys until the music changes back.

Pac-Mondrian is a combination of the popular game Pac-Man and the art style of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. Mondrian is known for using primary colors (red, yellow, blue) and straight lines to make his paintings. Broadway Boogie Woogie, the first game map, is a real Mondrian painting. It is his way of showing the busy streets of New York City. The other 3 maps were made by the game makers to look like Mondrian's style of painting.

THIS GAME HELPS WITH: - creativity through designing machines

- learning how things such as gravity or friction change the way a machine moves

Most suitable for older kids (maybe above 8 years old).

Draw a machine and learn a little about engineering. (An engineer is someone who designs or constructs machines.)

1.) You should see 4 blue arrow menus at the top of the game. The 2nd one changes how the machine moves. The 3rd one changes the gravity. The 4th one decides if the floor is slippery or sticky. Try changing these around and see how the machine acts. You can also change the settings on the left side of the game. The g, f, and k that you see on the bottom left change the gravity, friction, and spring strength (how floppy or strong your machine is).

2.) You can also draw your own machine to play with if you get tired of the one the game gives you! Just change the first arrow menu from "simulate" to "construct".
